Buddha sculptures is a type of craft arts that carries people’s beliefs, and transforms and reproduces gods and rites. It has a history of hundreds of years in Taiwan, and developed its own path through exchange and evolution in the past centuries. Shih,Chi-Hui, the living national treasure, together with the Shih, Zhi-He system, is a representative branch of Buddha sculptures in Lukang Area.
